Switzerland have won all four of their away qualifiers but we have three of the sides they’ve faced ranked outside the world’s top 100 while the other was 54th-placed Hungary. If you only include sides inside the top-50 then they’re just W1-D2-L4 on the road since 2014 and we have Portugal ranked in the top-10, so this is certainly a step up for the Swiss. This is written before both these sides play on Saturday but in all likeliness this will be a showdown for top-spot. Portugal are three points behind but hold a far superior goal difference thanks mainly to 18 goals in their four home qualifiers so far. They’ve won 15 of their last 18 home qualifiers and with a fully fit Ronaldo, we expect Portugal to win on their way to topping the group.
