It’s a Lancashire derby in the Championship
Preston slumped to their fourth straight defeat as they went down 3-0 at Ipswich, meaning they’ve shipped 15 in their last six, having conceded only four times in their first 10. Bolton, on the other hand, stretched their unbeaten run to five games with their home win over Norwich. Both their wins in that run have come at home but they have managed to draw half of their eight road games this term, with three of their four defeats coming against top-eight opponents. As a result, Preston look on the short side at odds-on and so we’re siding with Bolton on the Double Chance.

Preston have won just one of their last six at Deepdale, being held to draws by bottom-six sides Millwall and Sunderland in that time. Indeed, they’ve now drawn five of their eight home games against bottom-six opposition since the start of last season and so we’re backing the stalemate. We don’t expect it to be a dull encounter though as Preston’s defensive issues at the moment should provide Bolton with plenty of opportunities, whilst the Trotters have kept only one clean sheet all season.

Indeed, both teams have scored at least twice in four of Preston’s last six matches including a pair of 2-2 draws, while Sunderland drew 3-3 in their last outing on the road. That leaves room for plenty of momentum changes and since Bolton have led at half time in four of their last five but went on to draw two of these, whilst Preston have lost just four of the last 11 home matches they conceded first in we fancy the Bolton/Draw Half-Time/Full-Time at a big price.
