Friday Night Football sees Brighton go to the London Stadium for the first time to take on West Ham.
After losing their first three games and shipping 10 goals in the process, West Ham have since lost just once in five, with that defeat by a one goal margin hosting Spurs. This improved run included victories without conceding in their other two home games to date, against Huddersfield and Swansea, whilst they also kept a clean sheet away at West Brom and for almost an hour after Carroll’s red card against Burnley last time out.
A 1-1 draw at home to Everton on the weekend was further evidence that Brighton will hold their own on home soil, but they look as if they’ll struggle away from the Falmer Stadium. They have just one point and one goal to show from four road trips and while the Hammers aren’t the most prolific side they’ve now won without conceding in six of their last seven hosting bottom-half teams.

Brighton have been level at the break in five of their eight games so far, including three of the last four with the exception coming away at Arsenal. They’ve only managed one first-half goal all season but have conceded just twice as they’ve kept things tight while they adjust to this level. That certainly brings the Draw/West Ham HT/FT into play, as indeed has been the case in both West Ham home victories this term.

Under 2.5 Goals
Six of Brighton’s eight games have seen fewer than three goals so far, including three out of four away, and with Carroll suspended for the hosts the potential for goals is further diminished. Four of West Ham’s last five have seen Under 2.5 Goals and it looks banker material here.
