Milan are the current favourites for this competition at 7/1. Given they lost 4-1 at Lazio at the weekend while Hoffenheim beat Bayern 2-0 – both 40/1 shots – they look massively overrated on the basis of their significant investment this summer. However, they should be entertaining and this match has the look of a high scoring affair. Vienna’s opening seven league games have averaged 3.7 goals per game as five have had at least four goals and they’ve been conceding almost as fast as they’ve scored them. Their six Europa League group matches last season saw 25 goals despite one nil-nil and their two clashes with Roma both saw six strikes. Furthermore, in the past two seasons Italian sides have played 42 Europa League group games with 28 (67%) having at least three goals and half having four or more.
