PSV’s form on the road suggests you should stay clear of the away win.
With Feyenoord losing to Ajax last weekend, PSV’s title chances have been handed a boost as they now trail the league leaders by five points after they eased to victory at Sparta Rotterdam. Twente, on the other hand, lost for the second time in three games as they were beaten at home by struggling Go Ahead Eagles and so they’ve dropped down to 7th.
Twente have won four of their last seven at home, including against Ajax, and they’re generally pretty competitive when hosting the top teams. They also drew against Ajax last term and haven’t been beaten by more than two goals when hosting one of the Big Three since the start of last term, whilst they also only trailed at the break in one of five such matches over that period.
PSV have won four of their last five on the road but prior to that they manged just one win in five on their travels, so we’re not particularly keen on backing them at 1.57 against a Twente side that has lost only three of their last 13 at home. Instead, since PSV have been level at the break in half of their last 10 on the road, whilst Twente haven’t been behind at the break in 13 home games, drawing at the interval in seven of their last 10, we’re backing the half-time draw.
